He's back on the Fung payroll

FALLEN Gold Coast entrepreneur Michael King is back working for the Fung family.

The cofounder of MFS, the Gold Coast-based investment house that spectacularly collapsed in 2008 owing investors as much as $3 billion, was "let go" last year after the Reef Hotel Casino deal fell through. Aquis managing director Justin Fung says Mr King is a consultant on some Fung family projects, including the $160 million acquisition of the Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast, the Soul penthouse, a couple of development blocks in Surfers Paradise and a university project next to Bond University.
