HONG Kong businessman and Gold Coast investor Tony Fung has floated his Canberra Casino on the Australian Stock Exchange.
ASX-listed oil and gas exploration company Discovery Resources Ltd, which is chaired by Mr Fung, completed a takeover of Aquis Canberra this week.
Discovery Resources then changed its name to Aquis Entertainment.

Aquis has a raft of projects planned for the Gold Coast and is also negotiating with the State Government to build an $8 billion integrated resort and casino north of Cairns.
He has contracted to buy the Skase-era Sheraton Mirage Resort on the Spit for a rumoured $160 million, however he faces a three-storey height restriction on the site and has said a casino licence was a vital part of the mix.
Rival resort developer ASF was announced last week as still being the front runner for the city’s next casino licence for their site on the same street as the Sheraton.
The Discovery-Aquis Canberra move raised $2 million in capital to start redevelopment of the Canberra casino the group purchased for $6 million earlier this year.
