Is there a secret investigation going on to change things to suit a few without informing the Police Minister?Maybe there should be a full investigation within "TOP MANAGEMENT" of the Police force and ask the question as to why the union wasn't consulted and more importantly why wasn't the Police Minister consulted.
There should be questions raised about this issue and a number of other things.
The thought of using civilians for the training of Police Cadets is absolutely ludicrous and the thought the police service could be privatised, "what's wrong with this bloody government" it maybe only a thought at the moment but governments can do stupid things.
We as residents of this state of Queensland should stand up to this government and say "NO" to the training by civilians and even the thought of privatisation.
Maybe if the government got rid of some of the "top management" then maybe the force would be more efficient and could save some money in that area.
The police officers do a great job with what they have but they are still understaffed and we hear from our local pollies that Cairns has received 10, 15 or 20 new recruits which bolsters our numbers.
No it doesn't it just fills the gaps from retirements, transfers, resignations and officers acting in higher positions.
Police officers will tell you the numbers haven't increased and the police unions would agree.
DON'T LET OUR POLICE FORCE GO BACKWARDS LET'S ALL GIVE THE GOVERNMENT A CLEAR AND STRONG MESSAGE THAT WE WILL NOT TOLERATE A DECLINE IN POLICE TRAINING OR SERVICES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY.
